This was rendered using acrylics, Photoshop and Painter.
The background brushstroke was originaly done in watercolor, scanned and then modified in Painter. The main figure was all done in Painter.
Thor the Thunder God
This started in 3D but to get all that water and the right feel on the hair I brought it into Photoshop. There are many layers for each kind of water from background rain to the drops bouncing off of him.
This is straight traditional Pastels aplied over a ground of Gesso and pumice powder, great for grabbing the pigment.
Da Vinci Medical
This was done in Cinema 4D, Poser and Photoshop. The main material is a banji shader rendered twice with different settings and composited in Photoshop. The helix was done in C4D and layered in Photoshop with 3 or 4 layer styles to get the look I wanted.
